OUR STORY

We are a family-owned and operated farm located in New Brunswick, Canada. We breed and raise DNA parent-verified 100% Fullblood Japanese Black Wagyu Cattle whose entire lineage can be traced back to Japan.

ABOUT BIRD'S HILL WAGYU
Wagyu cattle have a genetic disposition to high intramuscular fat or marbling, but how Wagyu are cared for an what they are fed plays a critical role in our cattle producing the most tender and best marbled meat.
Our animals are pasture-raised on a family farm in a stress-free environment.
We have embraced the Japanese philosophy that, by caring for our animals in a way that creates the least amount of stress possible, we will create a better result.
A nutritionist oversees a diet of high-quality grains and grasses, and our feed is supplemented with vitamins and minerals.
No antibiotics or hormones are used to enhance their growth. The objective is to have the end product 100% natural.
Our steers are finished on grain and free-choice grass hay to produce the best, most flavorful intramuscular marbling. Typically, it takes 28-30 months for Wagyu to be ready for processing, whereas most other beef cattle are brought to market at the age of 16-18 months.
ETHICALLY AND SUSTAINABLY RAISED FULL-BLOOD WAGYU
We believe in sustainable farming practices, ensuring the welfare of our Wagyu cattle and preserving the natural beauty of our farm. We prioritize the health and well-being of animals, while also considering the environmental impact of raising livestock. As such our pasture-raised Wagyu are on rotational grazing and are treated with the utmost care.
